A Volunteer Organization
Like all AYSO regions, we are run 100% by volunteers. Last year during the fall 2008 winter season we provided a quality soccer experience for 900 children. To get all the necessary pieces in place to make this happen, we need your help. We have volunteer opportunities in the following areas:- Coach/Asst Coach
- Referee/Asst Referee
- Board Members
- Administrative support for the board
- Field Maintenance
- Sponsor (League and/or Team)
- Team Parent
- Team Photographer

Administrative Support for the Board
We’ve all been in the position where we’ve had to deal with a sports league and become frustrated by the amount of time it takes for an administrative to process to occur, The fact is, most of us at AYSO 108 know about soccer, but are all thumbs when it comes to stuffing 750 envelopes, keying names into a database, checking P.O. boxes, hanging banners, etc. If you have some time we sure could use your help. Let us know where you can make a difference by contacting RC@ayso108.org
Field Maintenance
Field Maintenance is an important, and on going, part of the soccer season. In order to keep things fair, fun, and safe for our kids, we need to make sure that our fields are well marked and free of gopher holes. There is normally a field day before the start of the season, and then an additional day midway through the season. Volunteers interested in helping out should contact Fields@ayso108.org.
Sponsor
Many parents whose schedules disallow other forms of participation during the season find a rewarding way to contribute to their child’s team is by sponsoring the team. If you are interested in sponsoring your child’s team, please contact Sponsors@ayso108.org.
Team Parent
The Team Parent helps the team by coordinating the following activities and ensuring that the work load is fairly distributed across the team.
• Prepare and distribute the team roster and snack list.
• Make sure the team shows up on time for Picture Day.
• Forward name of Team Photographer to the Yearbook Coordinator.
• Co-ordinate making/purchasing of team banner.
• Co-ordinate end of season party.
Team Photographer
The Team Photographer is responsible for providing digital pictures of the team to the Yearbook Coordinator. The Yearbook Coordinator will email the Team Photographer with details on the type of photographs required.
